Nasir Uddin

Rahman Nasir Uddin-2Nasir Uddin is a Cultural Anthropologist based in Bangladesh and a Professor of Anthropology at the University of Chittagong. He studied and did research in the University of Dhaka, University of Chittagong, Kyoto University, University of Hull, Delhi School of Economics, Ruhr-University Bochum, VU University of Amsterdam, University of Heidelberg and the London School of Economics (LSE). His current research interests include indigeneity and identity politics; statelessness and refugee studies; the state in everyday life; the politics of marginality; (political) Islam and secularism; migration and urbanization; borderlands and border politics; the Chittagong Hill Tracts, and South Asia.
